Made with French limestone supports with wax and sycamore shellac and a lacquer and wax finish.
The French limestone supports weigh around 30 kilos each and were made by Glasgow based sculptor Tom Allan. The decision was made to contrast the light coloured stone with a darker burr walnut top. Burring is created by the distorted growth rings of large numbers of small knots. The scyamore details help to give the piece a more contemporary look and feel.
